My life has changed so much in the last 15 years. Now I’m 28 years old and I went to Chicago University. I became a Cosmetologist. I moved to Naples, Florida and I work at this great salon called “Demarlo Salon & Spa Inc”. I LOVE my job and where I work because it’s a great opportunity for me! I learned a lot at school. Three things I learned at Gurrie really helped me in my life. The first thing I learned that helped me was science class because being a Cosmetologist you need to know your science. The second thing that I learned was Language Class because a lot of people come in my shop and don’t speak the same language I speak. So, when they come in I can talk the same language as them like Spanish. The third thing I learned at Gurrie was be kind.
The world has changed so much too! Technology is so different now, including computers and phones. Computers now are very tiny and cute and very portable and could hide anywhere. Phones now are different too because you can see the other person while talking to them.
I was recently invited to a Gurrie Middle School reunion and I’m excited to attend because, my friend, Tina Cevizovic became a famous actress and is in 13 movies already! Also, my friend, Dahlia Medina became famous and is a author with the #1 best selling book ‘Meat Eaters.’
My life is pretty good right now but I would rather live my life in 201. So, I can make these dreams come true!
